How to Setup Own Name Server

Step 1

Login to your domain name control panel (If your domain is registered with VPS Malaysia, you can login client area under Domain Section to manage your domain)

  • Look for Create Private/Child name server
    - Named your own 1st name server eg. ns1.<domain.com> pointing ip: <ip>
    - Named your own 2nd name server eg. ns2.<domain.com> pointing ip: <ip>

 

Step 2

Go to Name server at your domain name control panel.

  • Enter 1st name server, eg. ns1.domain.com
    - Enter 2nd name server, eg. ns2.domain.com

 

Step 3

Login cPanel/WHM

1) Navigate to WHM’s Nameserver Selection interface (WHM >> Home >> Service Configuration >> Basic WebHost Manager® Setup).
2) Navigate to name server, provide name server with IP in this section and save.

 

You can also point your domain name server to ns1.vpsmalaysia.com.my ns2.vpsmalaysia.com (Please contact support team for assisting pointed to your VPS IP)
