Reset VPS Password via Control Panel - v2

How to Reset Your VPS Password via VPS Control Panel v2

If you have forgotten your VPS root or administrator password, you can easily reset it from the VPS Control Panel v2 without needing to access the VPS itself. This feature is helpful if you’re locked out or need to update credentials for security reasons.

  • Linux VPS: Resets the root password.
  • Windows VPS: Resets the Administrator password.

Steps to Reset Your VPS Password:

1. Log in to the VPS Control Panel v2

  • Go to: https://vps2.vpsmalaysia.com.my/
  • Enter your email address and password, then click Login.
  • For Password you may refer back to the welcome email we sent you regarding VPS details or click the "Forgot Password" button and a reset link will be sent to your email.

2. Select Your VPS

  • From the dashboard, locate your list of active VPS services.
  • Click on the hostname or label of the VPS you want to reset.

3. Access the Password Reset Option

  • On the VPS overview page, locate and click the "Reset Password" tab.
  • Click "Reset" to confirm, and the password reset will be completed and displayed on the screen.

Please wait for the password to display on the screen within 1-2 minutes.

What Happens Next?

  • The new password will be set immediately or after a short delay (usually under 5 minutes).
  • Your VPS will automatically reboot the server for the new password to take effect after 15 minutes.
  • You can now log in using the updated credentials.

Important Notes:

  • Make sure to store the new password securely.
  • This reset does not affect any user-created accounts inside the VPS — only the system admin/root account.
  • If your VPS becomes unresponsive after the reset, try rebooting or accessing via VNC console.

If the reset fails or you’re unable to access your VPS even after resetting, feel free to contact our support team through your Client Area.
